A former Olympic snowboarder for Canada, Ryan Wedding, is now the subject of a federal manhunt. Wedding is wanted for running a multi-national drug trafficking network and is allegedly linked to the murder of a federal witness. On Wednesday, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi announced additional charges against Wedding in connection to the killing, which he reportedly orchestrated in Colombia to evade extradition to the United States.

The charges are part of a larger federal indictment unsealed in California, revealing that Wedding, along with ten other defendants, has been involved in trafficking substantial amounts of cocaine, approximately 60 tons annually, utilizing long-haul trucking routes from Colombia through Mexico into the U.S. and Canada. Authorities suspect he is currently residing in Mexico under protection from the Sinaloa cartel.

Pledging to bring him and his associates to justice, Bondi stated, 'Whether you are a street-level drug dealer ... or an international drug kingpin, we are coming for you.' The U.S. government is offering up to $15 million for information leading to Wedding's arrest.

Prosecutors claim that Wedding and his conspirators used a website to identify and target the witness, leading to the witness's assassination in Medellín. Officials indicated the murder was believed to diminish charges against Wedding, a miscalculation that could cost him his freedom as authorities ramp up their pursuit.
