In a significant update regarding historical ties between Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein, newly released emails from the US Department of Justice (DOJ) disclose that the former president was a passenger on Epstein’s private jet a total of eight times between 1993 and 1996. The findings come from an email dated January 7, 2020, from an assistant US attorney, asserting that Trump traveled on Epstein's plane more frequently than previously reported.

Notably, the email conveys that Trump's name appears on the flight records, but it does not imply any wrongdoing. Trump has publicly denied any connection to Epstein’s illicit activities and has asserted, 'I was never on Epstein's Plane.'

This correspondence is part of a larger set of over 30,000 pages of documents the DOJ was required to release concerning Epstein. The DOJ contends that some documents within this release contain 'untrue and sensationalist claims' about Trump, specifically referencing allegations submitted to the FBI just before the 2020 election.

Throughout their acquaintance, Trump and Epstein reportedly enjoyed a friendship until 2004, which Trump claims soured years prior to Epstein’s first arrest. Although the DOJ's release marks the most substantial effort to date to scrutinize Epstein’s actions and associations, many documents, including photos and investigative materials, are still pending publication.

The newly revealed flight logs indicate that Trump was not only on these flights with Epstein but also occasionally traveled alongside his wife Marla Maples, daughter Tiffany, and son Eric. Specific flights noted in the email included instances where Trump and Epstein were the only listed passengers.

As the backlash regarding the handling of Epstein's files continues to grow, calls for transparency and accountability within the judicial processes related to Epstein’s case remain a pressing issue, particularly concerning the identities of Epstein’s associates and the claims made during his legal scrutiny.
