Charmain Speirs was 40 years old when she met prophet Eric Adusah. For several years, she had been part of one of the fastest-growing Christian movements in the world, Pentecostalism, through which she appeared to discover happiness. However, she still felt that something was missing.

Her friend Anne-Marie revealed, She'd just had enough of normal men...she wanted that man of God. She wanted what was promised for her. Charmain eventually shared with her friend that she had met someone, a famous preacher. This led to her romance with Adusah, the head pastor of Global Light Revival Church, who had a charismatic presence on Christian television.

After meeting in spring 2014 and marrying that September, tragedy struck six months later when Charmain was found dead in a bathtub of a hotel in Ghana. Adusah was arrested on suspicion of murder but released due to insufficient evidence, denying involvement in her death.

Years later, a BBC Disclosure investigation revealed significant omissions in Adusah's account of the night Charmain died, raising serious concerns about his potential guilt.

The documentary titled Charmain and the Prophet also showcases testimonies from Adusah's former partners, detailing allegations of his dangerous behavior towards women. The film delves into Charmain's vibrant life, her struggles for happiness, and ultimately the troubling details surrounding her demise.

As investigations continue, the mystery deepens—Charmain's son Isaac grapples with the loss of his mother, seeking the truth even as the complexities of her life and marriage unfold, revealing questions about love, faith, and control.
