US television presenter Savannah Guthrie and her family have appealed to the public to continue to help search for their missing mother, who police believe was abducted seven weeks ago. In a new statement shared with NBC Tucson affiliate KVOA for a special report on the case, the Guthrie family stated, 'We desperately ask this community for renewed attention to our mom's case.' Authorities have been searching for Guthrie's 84-year-old mother Nancy since she was reported missing from Tucson, Arizona on 1 February. Footage previously released from outside Nancy's home revealed a masked figure, but nearly two months later, police still do not have a suspect. In their statement, the family expressed gratitude for the community's support before renewing their request for information, underscoring their belief that local residents hold vital clues in unraveling this case. 'Someone knows something,' they urged. The family added, 'We cannot grieve; we can only ache and wonder. Our focus is solely on finding her and bringing her home.' They are offering a $1 million reward for leads that could assist in her return, alongside the FBI's existing $100,000 reward. Despite DNA evidence and other clues surfacing nationwide, no suspect has been definitively identified. Authorities believe Nancy was specifically targeted, and police have released video footage from the night of her alleged abduction. The investigation is ongoing as the family holds onto hope for Nancy's safe return.
