Ukraine's Volodymyr Zelensky has announced his plan to meet with former US President Donald Trump in Florida this Sunday to discuss potential strategies for ending the ongoing war with Russia.

The meeting will center on a US-brokered 20-point peace plan, aiming to secure US security guarantees and explore the possibility of a demilitarized zone in contested areas of Eastern Ukraine. Zelensky emphasized the urgency of these discussions, noting, We are not losing a single day as he anticipates a productive dialogue with Trump.

Meanwhile, the Kremlin has confirmed that Russian officials are continuing their negotiations with US representatives, describing the progress as slow but steady. They're also reviewing Zelensky's proposal to withdraw troops from eastern regions of Donbas, contingent upon similar actions from Russia.

Zelensky's recent conversations with Trump's chief negotiators have reportedly generated new ideas that may bring a fresh perspective to the negotiations. The former president's previous interactions with Zelensky in February were marked by hostility, though their latest meeting at the White House in October was considerably more cordial.

As the conflict continues, the situation remains dynamic, with reports of military developments on both sides, including continued aerial strikes and fluctuating troop deployments. Both leaders face significant challenges as they address the intricate topics of military presence and territorial ownership amidst evolving diplomatic efforts.
