On November 24, a pair of suicide bombers launched a devastating attack on the headquarters of a Pakistani paramilitary force in Peshawar, leading to the deaths of three security officials and wounding several others.

According to reports from local police, the attackers entered the Federal Constabulary premises while armed, breaching multiple layers of security in a highly secured area.

Initial accounts indicate that two loud explosions were heard around 8:10 AM local time, drawing immediate emergency responses. In total, five security officials and seven civilians were reported injured as rescue teams and authorities arrived at the scene.

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the assault and called for the quick identification and prosecution of those responsible. The Pakistani Federal Constabulary, known for its role in addressing threats beyond police capabilities, faces increasing challenges from groups such as the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan, who have been linked to similar incidents across the country.

This attack adds to the already tense security landscape in Peshawar, a region historically afflicted by militant violence due to its proximity to the Afghan border.

Rescue operations were underway following the attack, and the area remains cordoned off as investigations continue into this grievous event.
