At least three Palestinian women have been killed and eight more injured after missile debris hit a beauty salon in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) says.

The PRCS reported that shrapnel struck the salon in the town of Beit Awwa, near Hebron, in the southern West Bank.

According to the official Palestinian news agency Wafa, fragments landed on a metal caravan used as a salon as well as in various other locations in the West Bank.

This tragedy occurred shortly after the Israeli military indicated that Iran had fired missiles towards its territory, claiming efforts were underway to intercept them.

Among the deceased were Mais Ghazi Masalmeh, aged 17, Sahira Rizq Masalmeh, 50, and Amal Sobhi Abdel Karim Matawa' Masalmeh, 36, as reported by Wafa.

The PRCS noted that multiple emergency response teams, including at least five ambulances, were dispatched to the site, where they encountered numerous casualties and injuries.

The bodies of the three women were transported to a local hospital along with other victims suffering from critical and moderate injuries.

Initially, the PRCS had reported four fatalities but later revised this number to three. Rescue crews experienced significant delays accessing the site due to the closure of iron gates, which impeded timely medical assistance.
