The 2026 Tony Awards, broadcast live on CBS and streaming on Paramount+, will go on Sunday, June 12. The evening is headed by pop icon Pink, who will open with a musical number written by Benj Pasek, Justin Paul and Mark Sonnenblick featuring 170 performers and dramatic wire work.

Only 24 Broadway shows are nominated for Tony Awards – 16, 17, 19 and 21 categories. The competition for Best New Musical pits stage‑adaptation “The Lost Boys” against rom‑com “Two Strangers,” satiric “Schmigadoon!” and the camp‑tastic “Titanique.” Supreme revival contenders include a new “Cats: The Jellicle Ball,” historical “Ragtime” and the zippy “Rocky Horror Show.”

The ceremony will feature performances from the nominees, including families for “The Book of Mormon” (15th anniversary) and a touching “In Memorial” tribute with Leslie Odom Jr. singing from “Rent.” The schedule also lists a “Chicago” house‑show with Pink, Queen Latifah and other Broadway staples.

Historic milestones dominate the lineup. June Squibb becomes the oldest Tony‑nominated performer at 96, edging close to the record for oldest winner. Nathan Lane eyes his fourth win for “Death of a Salesman,” tying him with other legends.
