US actor Chad Lowe and his wife, producer Kim Painter, are deeply heartbroken following the death of their beloved 13‑year‑old daughter Fiona.
“She was a loving young girl who was smart, creative and loved to dance,” the family said in a statement released through Page Six and People.
“She was adored by her sisters and she was deeply loved by her parents…she was the light of our lives,” they continued. “Her passing is devastating for our entire family and we ask for prayers and privacy at this time.”
In the statement they urged anyone feeling distressed: “If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health, please reach out to the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988.”
Chad Lowe, brother of fellow actor Rob Lowe, won an Emmy in 1993 for the TV drama Life Goes On and has appeared in series such as Pretty Little Liars and Supergirl.
He and Painter also have two other daughters, Mabel, 17, and Nixie, 10.
