The FBI agents are calling on the public for assistance in identifying four individuals captured in surveillance footage near a tragic mass shooting in Leland, Mississippi. The shooting, which occurred during homecoming weekend festivities, resulted in six fatalities and numerous injuries.

Late Sunday, the FBI's Jackson Field Office released photos of the four suspects, which include one female and three males, identified as 'unknown suspects' by the FBI. The motive for the gunfire, described as stemming from 'a disagreement among several individuals,' is still under investigation.

This mass shooting occurred shortly after a high school football game, marking it as the deadliest of several violent incidents across Mississippi during the same weekend. Witnesses described a scene of chaos, with blood on the streets and numerous victims.

Escalating Violence in Mississippi

In addition to the Leland shooting, violence erupted in other parts of Mississippi. In Heidelberg, two bodies, including a pregnant woman, were discovered on a high school campus, connected to gunfire that coincided with a homecoming football game. An 18-year-old suspect has since been arrested.

Furthermore, shootings were reported at Alcorn State University and Jackson State University during homecoming festivities, highlighting a concerning trend of violence disrupting celebratory events.

This wave of violence marks the 14th mass killing in America this year, as tracked by the Associated Press/USA TODAY/Northeastern University Mass Killing Database, which keeps record of all intentional homicides of four or more victims.

Authorities urge anyone with information regarding the suspects or related events to contact them for further assistance.
