Man Arrested After Stabbing Attack on Bollywood Star Saif Ali Khan

The Bollywood actor is recovering post-surgery after being stabbed during a suspected robbery attempt, as police continue investigating the incident.

In a shocking incident, Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was stabbed during a confrontation at his residence in Mumbai, leading to the arrest of a man in connection with the attack. Reports indicate that the incident occurred early Thursday when Khan was confronted by an intruder, raising concerns about safety in the upscale Bandra neighborhood where he resides.

The actor, who underwent surgery following the attack, is reportedly recovering. Dr. Nitin Dange from Lilavati Hospital, where Khan is being treated, confirmed that timely medical intervention prevented significant injury. Khan sustained multiple wounds, one of which was dangerously close to his spine, but doctors have assured that his condition is stable.

CCTV footage from the actor's home has been recovered by police, who suggest the stabbing may have been an effort to rob Khan. According to a statement from Eliyama Philip, a nurse in Khan's home, the intruder initially demanded a ransom of 10 million rupees (approximately $115,000) while threatening her and a nanny with a weapon.

The situation escalated into a struggle, during which both Khan and his wife, actress Kareena Kapoor, intervened after hearing the commotion. The attacker managed to flee the premises, and the police are actively working to trace him.

Deputy Commissioner Dixit Gadam confirmed that the weapon used in the attack remains unlocated and emphasized the ongoing investigation into how the intruder accessed the property. Khan, who has received acclaim for his versatile acting skills and is the son of cricket legend Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, has been a prominent figure in Indian cinema for decades. His recent brush with violence has left fans and the film industry in shock as they wish for his swift recovery.
