In a rare display of dissent against Hamas, residents of Beit Lahiya publicly voiced their frustrations over ongoing conflict and calls for change from the governing authority, highlighting the complexities of suffering due to both external and internal circumstances.

Verified videos showcased the protesters gathering in the half-destroyed streets, many brandishing signs that conveyed their desire for an end to the ongoing conflict. Some demonstrators voiced explicit calls for Hamas to relinquish control.
