Queensland authorities have taken serious action against a 34-year-old influencer, accusing her of drugging her one-year-old daughter to exploit her health struggles for online donations and followers. The mother, who gained attention through social media by documenting her child’s supposed terminal illness, is alleged to have administered unauthorized medications to induce distress and pain in her baby, capturing these moments on camera. Concerns were raised by medical professionals in October when the child was hospitalized for a critical episode, leading to a police investigation that uncovered a disturbing pattern of abuse.

Medical professionals first alerted authorities in October; when the infant was admitted to the hospital suffering from extreme distress. Following thorough examinations, detectives uncovered evidence of unauthorized medications administered by the mother, including prescription drugs taken from a different household member. Over the course of a few months, she allegedly raised around A$60,000 (about $37,300) on GoFundMe under false pretenses, money which the platform is now in the process of returning.

Queensland Police have condemned the case, labeling the acts as deeply repulsive. Following her arrest, the woman is scheduled to appear before the Brisbane Magistrates Court soon, where she will face multiple charges, including torture and fraud.
