A total of 106 people were reported to be on board at the time of the accident, including pupils from a nearby school based in Sønderborg, the train's intended destination. Fortunately, none of the students or their accompanying teachers sustained severe injuries; however, arrangements were made for them to discuss the traumatic experience with a psychologist at school on Saturday.
