In a shocking incident that has rattled families in Melbourne, approximately 1,200 children are being urged to undergo testing for infectious diseases after a childcare worker, Joshua Dale Brown, was arrested and charged with 70 offences, including child rape. Victoria’s Chief Health Officer, Christian McGrath, emphasized the importance of testing due to the nature of the alleged crimes, stating that while he could not confirm if Brown tested positive for any sexually transmitted infections, some children may have been exposed to treatable infections.
