On November 5, 2026, the Saudi Press Agency announced that King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (KFSH) in Riyadh has been ranked among the top 5% of hospitals included in Newsweek’s World’s Best Hospitals and Clinics for Medical Tourism 2027 list. The announcement underscores the hospital’s standing as a leading international medical destination.

According to the press release, the ranking spotlights KFSH’s capabilities in oncology, neurosciences, and organ transplantation – specialties that demand multidisciplinary expertise and advanced treatment technologies. The hospital’s recognition follows its acquisition of Global Healthcare Accreditation for Medical Travel Services, wherein it achieved a compliance score of 95%. The accreditation confirms its adherence to global standards of care quality and patient experience for arriving visitors.

Saudi Press Agency noted that KFSH provides comprehensive services to international patients. The patient journey begins with initial consultations and medical assessments before arrival, proceeds through coordination of travel arrangements, airport reception, and accommodation, and concludes with specialized treatment and post‑treatment follow‑up – ensuring a seamless experience.

The recognition comes amid Saudi Arabia’s broader healthcare transformation under Vision 2030, designed to boost the global competitiveness of its medical sector. In line with that vision, the hospital is expanding specialized services, advancing medical innovation, and elevating the global profile of Saudi healthcare institutions.

In addition to the Newsweek ranking, KFSH was named first in the Middle East and Africa and 12th globally among the world’s top 250 academic medical centers for 2026, an achievement also acknowledged by newswire coverage. Brand Finance recognised the hospital as the most valuable healthcare brand in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East for 2026.

Further accolades include appearances in Newsweek’s World’s Best Hospitals 2026, World’s Best Smart Hospitals 2027, and World’s Best Specialized Hospitals 2027 rankings.
