In brief
At ADIPEC 2026, the Abu Dhabi Chamber announced 14 new recipients of its Sustainability Label, taking total awardees to 68. Director‑General Ali Mohamed Al Marzooqi praised the progress made in integrating sustainability. The chamber touts the programme’s role in helping firms improve ESG practices and prepare for market demands.
At the 49th annual Abu Dhabi International Petroleum and Energy Summit (ADIPEC) in Abu Dhabi on 5 November 2026, the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) announced that 14 companies would receive its Sustainability Label.
The recognition brings the total number of awardees to 68, a milestone that the chamber says reflects a growing trend of corporate commitment to environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance across Abu Dhabi’s diverse business sectors.
Director‑General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, Ali Mohamed Al Marzooqi, said:
“Today’s recognition acknowledges the tangible progress these companies have made in integrating sustainability into their operations and their commitment to advancing their corporate practices. Our focus is on helping businesses translate their sustainability commitments into practical action and measurable results. We do this by providing tools that enable companies to assess their performance, identify areas for improvement and keep pace with changing market requirements. We aim to extend the reach of the Sustainability Label programme and encourage more private sector companies to adopt practices that strengthen their competitiveness and open up new opportunities for growth and partnerships.”
The Sustainability Label programme offers a practical framework that combines performance assessment, capacity building, and continuous improvement. Companies use the tools to strengthen environmental management, social responsibility, and corporate governance while boosting transparency and credibility. The chamber aims to prepare firms for the growing sustainability requirements that increasingly influence investment decisions, supply chains, and market access.
The newly awarded companies are recognised across four categories. In the Gold category, Akwad Tech Network Websites Designing LLC and NMDC Energy received distinctions, while Gulf Extrusion Automotive and Industries earned the Silver distinction. The Bronze category awarded Bynouna Gene Solutions, Day 21 Honey, and Black Hole General Trading Sole Proprietorship LLC OPC.
These recognitions illustrate Abu Dhabi’s broader strategy to strengthen its private‑sector competitiveness by enabling enterprises to assess ESG performance and identify improvement opportunities. Translating sustainability commitments into measurable results, the chamber believes firms will better position themselves for future growth and partnerships.
With the 68th award milestone reached, the chamber signals continued expansion of the Sustainability Label and its commitment to encouraging wider adoption of sustainable corporate practices throughout the region.
The ceremony took place during the flagship event that drew more than 60,000 visitors from over 140 countries, who gathered to discuss advances in the petroleum and energy sectors and to showcase technological innovations.
ADIPEC remains the world’s largest energy forum, providing a platform for governments, industry leaders, and investors to explore new collaborations and investment opportunities.
The Abu Dhabi Chamber aims to create a business environment that rewards sustainable performance, according to a statement released alongside the award announcements.
The Sustainability Label is increasingly used by international investors to assess risk and opportunity in supply chains, reflecting a broader trend towards ESG‑driven capital allocation.
The presented companies span a range of sectors—from technology and energy to agriculture and retail—demonstrating the chamber’s multi‑industry reach.
The chamber also announced plans to expand the programme to include a digital dashboard for monitoring post‑award performance, aiming to sustain momentum after initial certification.
