Former President Donald Trump has cast another mail ballot in Florida, while publicly condemning the voting method as a source of fraud and urging Congress to limit its use.

Palm Beach County records indicate that Trump voted by mail in a special election for state legislative seats, with his ballot counted alongside early in-person votes that continued until the previous Sunday. His supporters have been informed that his discontent is aimed at states employing universal mail-in voting, rather than individuals who legitimately use it.

Trump has recently labeled mail-in voting as 'cheating' and 'corrupt as hell,' urging the passage of the SAVE Act - a comprehensive bill designed to restrict mail ballots for only certain voters, such as those with disabilities or military engagements. The bill faces significant hurdles in the tightly divided Senate despite Trump's backing.

Trump's fixation on mail-in ballots stems from his unfounded claims that fraud led to his loss against Democrat Joe Biden in the 2020 election. While courts and even his attorney general have rejected these claims, Trump's narrative continues to frame mail-in voting as problematic.

He stated in a recent meeting, 'We’re the only country in the world that does it that way. Corrupt as hell,' emphasizing his disdain for mail ballots when speaking to guests including Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin at the White House.

Trump expressed the significance of the SAVE Act, claiming it to be the 'biggest thing' in Washington, amid ongoing issues related to a war in Iran and federal government shutdown matters.

Last August, Trump had previously directed criticism at mail voting during a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, announcing forthcoming executive measures to terminate mail-in ballots, which he has suggested primarily benefits Democrats.

Although Trump has shifted his voter registration from New York to Florida, records reveal no standing mail-in ballot request for all elections, necessitating individual requests for every election. His recent mail ballot applied to the Florida state House District 87 and Senate District 14 races, following a public endorsement for candidate Jon Maples on his Truth Social platform.

Additionally, the day after casting his vote, the Supreme Court heard arguments concerning the treatment of mail-in ballots postmarked by Election Day but received later, a practice Trump has criticized in several jurisdictions.
