GLEN BURNIE, Md. (AP) — An enforcement and removal operation by federal immigration agents led to a shooting during the morning hours of Wednesday. The incident, occurring around 10:50 a.m., saw agents firing at a moving vehicle after it allegedly attempted to run them over. Local police confirmed that both individuals injured in the incident were transported to a hospital, though their injuries are not life-threatening.

According to initial reports, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents had approached a white van which subsequently accelerated towards them. The two injured individuals have not been identified. The Anne Arundel County police department stated that they will investigate the shooting, while the FBI is set to probe the circumstances surrounding the alleged assault on the federal agents. ICE is also conducting an internal investigation into the incident.
