A U.S. Secret Service agent assigned to protect former first lady Jill Biden accidentally shot himself in the leg while at Philadelphia International Airport on Friday morning. According to Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi, the incident occurred around 9 a.m. as the agent was traveling in an unmarked vehicle, leading to a 'negligent discharge' of his weapon. Biden was not in the vicinity at the time of the incident. Emergency responders quickly arrived on the scene to assist the injured agent, who was subsequently taken to a local hospital and is currently in stable condition. Airport operations were reported to remain unaffected by the shooting, as confirmed by Heather Redfern, public affairs manager for the city's Department of Aviation.
