Marc Anthony has described the Beckham family rift as 'extremely unfortunate', but added that the way it has played out is 'hardly the truth'.

The 57-year-old performed at Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz Beckham's wedding reception in 2022 and is a close friend of the wider family. However, Brooklyn recently voiced his discomfort over how his first dance was handled, revealing that Anthony called for him to dance with his mother instead of his wife, leaving him feeling 'uncomfortable and humiliated'.

Brooklyn accused his parents of attempting to 'ruin' his marriage and articulated his refusal to reconcile with them amid this public dispute.

Speaking to the Hollywood Reporter, Anthony remarked on his long-standing friendship with the family, stating: 'I have nothing to say about what's happening with the family. They're a wonderful, wonderful family.' He reiterated, 'It's extremely unfortunate how it's playing out - but [how it's playing out] is hardly the truth.'

Brooklyn's Instagram statement from January 19 confirmed a rift between him and the Beckham family, highlighting that his mother had 'hijacked' his romantic dance with Peltz, an event planned weeks in advance. Anthony's comments sparked further attention as fans and the media attempt to decipher the intricate dynamics of the Beckham family amidst their public disputes.
