Charges Filed Against Five Individuals Following Liam Payne's Untimely Death

Local media reports confirm that a criminal investigation has led to charges being leveled against hotel staff and acquaintances linked to the incident.

In a shocking turn of events, five individuals have been charged in relation to the death of One Direction star Liam Payne, who tragically fell from a third-floor hotel balcony in Buenos Aires on October 16th. The 31-year-old singer was reportedly enjoying a stay at the CasaSur hotel, where his final hours have since come under scrutiny by Argentine authorities.

According to local news sources, hotel manager Gilda Martin, employee Esteban Grassi, and Roger Nores, identified as a friend of Payne, face charges of manslaughter. Alongside them, Braian Paiz and Ezequiel Pereyra, also employees of the hotel, have been charged for allegedly supplying drugs to the singer.

Swift action by a judge has resulted in the remand of two of the accused, whose identities remain undisclosed. They have been instructed to present themselves in court within the next 24 working hours. Furthermore, the Argentine prosecutor's office has confirmed that investigations into how Payne spent his final days are ongoing, with a previous report hinting that charges had already been brought against three individuals whose names were not released.

In an earlier statement to TMZ, Roger Nores described his relationship with Payne as a close friendship, recalling that the singer appeared “playful and happy” just an hour before his fall. However, the tragic conclusion came after emergency services were alerted about a distressed guest reportedly under the influence of drugs and alcohol, leading to a chaotic scene in Payne's hotel room.

Following his death, toxicology tests revealed that Payne had traces of alcohol, cocaine, and an antidepressant in his system. A post-mortem examination attributed the cause of his death to "multiple trauma" and severe internal and external bleeding as a result of the fall, with medical assessments suggesting he may have fallen while in a state of semi-consciousness, negating the likelihood of intentional acts.

The singer's rise to fame began on The X Factor and was solidified as a member of One Direction during the 2010s. Following the group's hiatus in 2016, Payne continued to shape his solo career but his life was tragically cut short.
