Fire-Breathing Drones: A New Weapon in Ukraine

In the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, Ukrainian soldiers have turned to an unconventional weapon: drones equipped to release burning thermite. These "dragon drones" help combat Russian soldiers concealed in dense vegetation, igniting their cover and making them vulnerable.

In a strategic move on the front lines in eastern Ukraine, Ukrainian forces have adapted their drone technology by attaching thermite-spewing canisters to make "dragon drones." These airborne devices expel molten metal at scorching temperatures of 4,400 degrees Fahrenheit, setting fire to Russian soldiers' cover and equipment, and exposing them to direct assault. Thermite, a century-old invention initially used for welding and employed in past wars, is now a pivotal asset in Ukraine’s defense strategy, demonstrating the continuous evolution of military technology in modern warfare.
