High-End Real Estate Brokers Face Serious Allegations of Sex Trafficking
Tal and Oren Alexander, alongside their brother Alon, have been arrested for allegedly engaging in a decade-long scheme involving drugging and assaulting women.
In a shocking turn of events, prominent real estate brokers Tal and Oren Alexander, along with their brother Alon, have been charged with sex trafficking in a case that casts a dark shadow over their decades-long careers in the luxury property market. The allegations, detailed by prosecutors, include claims that the brothers drugged, assaulted, and raped numerous women over a span of more than ten years.
The Alexanders, who have made names for themselves selling high-end properties in cities like New York and Miami, were arrested in Florida on Wednesday and are expected to be extradited to New York to face serious charges. A lawyer representing Oren Alexander has firmly denied the allegations, stating, "Oren Alexander is innocent," while Tal Alexander's spokesperson, Joel Denaro, chose not to comment. Alon Alexander's legal representation did not immediately provide a response to inquiries.
U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Damian Williams, did not mince words at a recent Manhattan press conference, stating, "As of today, law enforcement has interviewed dozens of women who reported being forcibly raped or sexually assaulted by at least one of the Alexander brothers. This conduct, as alleged, was heinous."
According to the indictment, the three brothers developed a systematic approach to lure women into vulnerable situations. They allegedly hosted parties and offered luxurious experiences and travel as a guise for their misconduct. Prosecutors have indicated that drugs were procured and, at times, covertly administered to the women through their drinks. Additionally, claims have surfaced that some victims were physically restrained during the assaults, with the brothers reportedly ignoring pleas for them to stop.
Following these events, it is alleged that the Alexanders attempted to placate some victims by providing luxury gifts, such as concert tickets. The indictment outlines two counts against each brother: one for conspiracy and a second for sex trafficking by means of force, fraud, or coercion. Notably, Tal Alexander faces an additional charge for similar offenses.
David Gottlieb, an attorney representing the women, expressed relief at the indictment, stating, "We are glad to hear that there will finally be some measure of accountability for the Alexander brothers and justice for their many victims." He praised the courage exhibited by the survivors in coming forward to share their harrowing experiences.
Tal and Oren Alexander gained notoriety as brokers for the prestigious Douglas Elliman real estate firm, listing properties for numerous celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, and Lindsay Lohan. In 2022, the brothers launched their own company, Official, further solidifying their influence in the luxury real estate sector. The unfolding legal proceedings now aim to address the serious allegations against them and provide a voice for the alleged victims.
