A tragic turn of events as Campbell Scott, a Scottish businessman, is found deceased while attending a conference in Nairobi.
Scott was last seen by colleagues at the JW Marriott Hotel on February 16. The 58-year-old, hailing from Fife, was recognized for his significant contributions to the international Scores business since joining FICO in 2014. Following his passing, a spokeswoman from the firm expressed the profound shock and sorrow felt by staff, highlighting Scott’s leadership and positive demeanor.
"He was instrumental in introducing Scores to new markets and nurturing existing partnerships. His humor and kindness will be sorely missed," she noted, while also requesting privacy for his family during this difficult time.
Scott had undergone his education at Woodmill High School in Dunfermline and Kirkcaldy Technical College before embarking on his professional journey. The JW Marriott, where he stayed, is situated in Nairobi's affluent Westlands district.
The police initiated a search for Scott after he failed to return to his accommodations, with support from Interpol being reported. The UK Foreign Office has been contacted regarding the incident, currently awaiting further details.
