On Thursday, British authorities announced they had charged Roman Lavrynovych, a 21-year-old Ukrainian national, with arson with intent to endanger life following a series of fires linked to Prime Minister Keir Starmer's properties. The Metropolitan Police stated that Lavrynovych was arrested on Tuesday in response to the incident that posed significant risk to the Prime Minister's family.
The first fire occurred outside the doorway of Starmer's family home in Kentish Town, north London, which is currently occupied by renters. In addition, another blaze was reported at a second home in north London, previously inhabited by Mr. Starmer, according to the BBC.
Currently, Prime Minister Starmer and his family reside at 10 Downing Street. As authorities continue their investigation, the case is still developing, and updates are expected to follow.
