Usha Vance, the wife of Vice-President JD Vance, has announced she is pregnant with her fourth child.

In a post on X, the second lady expressed her excitement about welcoming a boy in late July.

Usha and the baby are doing well, stated a message posted on her social media account.

Usha, who is 40 years old, and JD Vance already have three young children: Ewan, Vivek, and Mirabel.

Originally from the working-class suburbs of San Diego, California, Usha was born to parents who emigrated from India. She and JD met while studying at Yale Law School in 2010.

Before her role as second lady, Usha worked in law as a corporate litigator and assisted notable judges including Chief Justice John Roberts and Brett Kavanaugh.

Notably, Usha will be the first second lady to have a baby while in office, though previous first ladies have given birth during their husband's presidencies. JD Vance has been a proponent of increasing birth rates in the U.S., famously stating his desire for more babies in America.
