Former US President Donald Trump has recently asserted that his health is 'perfect,' dismissing growing public concern regarding his age, especially as he approaches 80. In a revealing interview with The Wall Street Journal, Trump shared details about his daily health regimen and lifestyle choices that he claims contribute to his well-being.
Trump, who has previously faced scrutiny for appearing to doze off during meetings, opened up about his health practices, indicating that he takes significantly higher doses of aspirin than typically recommended. 'They say aspirin is good for thinning out the blood, and I don't want thick blood pouring through my heart,' he explained, revealing that he takes a daily dosage of 325mg instead of the advised 81mg.
Despite his odd eating and exercise habits—labeling exercise as boring—Trump emphasized that he is in good health. He recently underwent a CT scan at Walter Reed National Medical Center which showed no abnormalities, a fact confirmed by his physician, Navy Capt Sean Barbaella.
Trump expressed frustration regarding the public's focus on his health, insisting he is fit for his role as Commander in Chief. He denied experiencing hearing issues and maintained that the bruising visible on his hands is managed with makeup. 'I have makeup that’s easy to put on, takes about 10 seconds,' Trump noted.
As he navigates the complexities of public perception surrounding health and age, Trump continues to present a strong defense regarding his health and capability to lead, even voicing irritation over the ongoing discussions and scrutiny into his well-being.
