A plane with 12 people on board has crashed in Kwale near Kenya's coast, the aviation authority has reported.
The aircraft was flying from the coastal town of Diani to a resort in a nearby game park, Kichwa Tembo, when it went down at approximately 05:30 local time (02:30 GMT), according to a statement from the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA).
Reports indicate that there were tourists on board the ill-fated flight. Kenyan media has released images showing the plane engulfed in flames and debris scattered at the crash site.
The KCAA has confirmed that government agencies are already conducting on-site investigations to determine the cause of the accident and assess its consequences.
