A collision between a freight train and a public bus has killed at least eight people and injured 25 others in Bangkok, emergency services have said.
Police and rescue officials reported that the collision triggered a fire engulfing the public bus on Saturday.
Flames also spread to nearby vehicles, prompting firefighters and rescue crews to be dispatched. They worked diligently to pull injured victims from the wreckage while containing the blaze.
The fire has since been brought under control, with teams now focusing on cooling the area, venting gas, and continuing their search for victims. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
