Italian fashion designer Valentino Garavani, known simply as Valentino, has died at the age of 93.
In a statement posted on Instagram, the Valentino Garavani and Giancarlo Giammetti Foundation shared the news, stating: He passed away peacefully in his Roman home, surrounded by the love of his family.
Valentino's influential career spanned decades, making him a pillar of elegance and sophistication in the global fashion industry. His contributions to haute couture are immeasurable, with countless celebrities and royals donning his exquisite creations.
The foundation has announced that Valentino will lie in state at Piazza Mignanelli from January 21 to January 22. A funeral service will follow at the Basilica of Saint Mary of the Angels and Martyrs the next day.
