A catastrophic incident unfolded in Glilot, just north of Tel Aviv, when a truck collided with a bus stop close to an Israeli military base, resulting in a significant number of injuries. Emergency services confirmed that they are treating dozens of casualties at the scene, with at least six individuals reported to be in serious condition and others trapped under the debris.
The circumstances surrounding the event remain under investigation by the police. However, local reports indicate that armed civilians responded quickly, reportedly shooting and "neutralising" the driver after he intentionally drove into the crowd.

At around 10:08 AM, Magen David Adom's 101 Emergency Call Center received reports of the incident on Aharon Yariv Boulevard in Ramat Hasharon. According to the Israeli ambulance service, which was quoted by the newspaper Haaretz, many of the injured included elderly citizens who had just alighted from a bus prior to the attack as they were heading to visit the nearby Israel Defense Forces (IDF) base.
