Originally hailing from Marshall, Texas, Foreman turned professional in 1969 and quickly established himself in the boxing world. By 1972, he secured a winning streak of 37 fights, achieving 35 victories by knockout. His first major title fight came in 1973 when he shocked the boxing community by defeating unbeaten champion Joe Frazier.

However, Foreman's career saw both triumph and turmoil. He famously lost the heavyweight championship to Muhammad Ali in their legendary "Rumble in the Jungle" fight in 1974, an encounter that he described as the "most embarrassing moment" of his life.
