**Iran's President Reportedly Injured in Israeli Strikes Amid Ongoing Conflict**

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian was reportedly injured last month during a round of Israeli airstrikes targeting a secret underground facility in Tehran. The Iranian state news agency Fars, connected to the Revolutionary Guard, alleges that on June 16, a series of six bombs struck the site while Pezeshkian was engaged in an emergency meeting of the Supreme National Security Council. Witnesses claim he sustained leg injuries while escaping through an emergency shaft alongside other officials as the facility’s entrances were blocked and its ventilation system disrupted.

Following these incidents, Iranian investigators are now reportedly pursuing leads on possible Israeli infiltrations. Notably, this claim has yet to be substantiated by independent sources, and Israel has remained silent regarding the attack.

During the preceding 12-day escalation of hostilities, videos on social media documented strikes in northwest Tehran, revealing that the Israeli military had taken aim at strategic locations where Iranian leadership was present. The Fars report confirmed that all main points of access to the facility were targeted, including outages to the facility’s power supply, forcing Pezeshkian to narrowly escape.

Last week, President Pezeshkian accused Israel of an assassination attempt directed against him, a claim staunchly denied by Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz, who stated that their military actions did not aim for regime change.

In the early phases of the conflict, Israel is said to have eliminated several key figures within Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), prompting a shock response from Iranian leadership amid concerns of intelligence gaps regarding their security protocols. Key Iranian figures, including Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, were also reportedly targeted, though Khamenei escaped when he was relocated to a secure area.

The latest hostilities were ignited on June 13, when Israel executed a surprise attack against various Iranian military and nuclear sites, asserting the intention of obstructing Iran's potential path to nuclear armament. Iran, which refutes the charge of pursuing nuclear weapons and cites its nuclear enrichment as peaceful initiatives, retaliated with aerial strikes on Israel.

On June 22, U.S. military forces joined the fray, executing air and missile strikes against Iranian nuclear facilities, an action U.S. President Donald Trump later claimed had "obliterated" those locations, despite varied perspectives within U.S. intelligence circles regarding the effectiveness of the operations.
