Blinken and National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan have embarked on a vital mission to the Middle East in response to the recent upheaval in Syria following the fall of dictator Bashar al-Assad. Blinken will conduct discussions in Jordan and Turkey, while Sullivan’s agenda includes meetings in Israel, aimed at navigating the new governance landscape in war-torn Syria.
