Urgent Plea for Lives of British Couple Detained by Taliban
An American woman detained by the Taliban alongside a British couple has issued a dire warning about their health. Faye Hall revealed that the couple, Peter (80) and Barbie Reynolds (76), are literally dying in prison, emphasizing that time is running out for their situation to be resolved.
Peter and Barbie Reynolds, who have lived in Afghanistan for 18 years, have been held since February 1 without clear charges against them. Hall, who was released after two months of detention, urged authorities to take immediate action for their release.
Hall described the appalling conditions in which they were held, highlighting the cramped cells and security issues in a maximum-security facility, leading to significant health deterioration for the elderly couple.
In her emotional appeal, she urged the US and UK governments to collaborate for their swift release, citing the urgent health needs of the Reynoldses, who have been denied adequate medical care.
