The unnamed woman, referred to as Jane Doe, alleges that following her testimony to Romanian authorities regarding their conduct, the Tates engaged in a campaign of defamation against her. This lawsuit comes on the heels of the brothers' own defamation counter-suit against Doe from 2023, in which they accused both her and another woman of fabricating evidence in a bid to frame them, contributing to their arrests on trafficking charges.
