23 More Victims Emerge Against Convicted Rapist Zou Zhenhao
Fresh allegations surface from women worldwide following Zou Zhenhao's recent conviction for raping 10 women in Britain and China.
More than 20 women have come forward with allegations against Zou Zhenhao, a Chinese student who was convicted last month in London of drugging and raping 10 women in Britain and China. The Metropolitan Police reported that 23 women have contacted them after Zou's conviction, with some residing in Britain while others are located in different parts of the world. Police believe that Zou may have attacked upwards of 50 women, supported by hundreds of videos found on his electronic devices.
Zou was a Ph.D. student at University College London from 2019 to 2024. During his lengthy trial, the court learned that he reportedly lured women to his apartments in London and China, where he assaulted them. The police indicated that Zou often met his victims through dating apps like Bumble, alongside Chinese social media platforms such as WeChat and Little Red Book. Targeting Chinese students in London, he may have connected with them at parties and student gatherings.
On March 5, a jury concluded that Zou was guilty of 11 counts of rape, alongside related charges of drug possession intended for sexual assault, voyeurism, and the possession of extreme pornography. Two women bravely testified against Zou in court, whilst eight others remain unidentified, raising concerns that some may not even be aware of the assaults due to being drugged.
Given the recent conviction, the police have made a public appeal for further victims to step forward, emphasizing that they are committed to uncovering the full extent of his criminal activities.
