US-Iran Diplomacy Stalled Amid Threat of Military Action, Says Deputy Foreign Minister

In a recent interview, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister, Majid Takht-Ravanchi, outlined the necessity for the US to renounce any future military actions against Iran as a prerequisite for the resumption of diplomatic talks. This statement comes amid escalating tensions following Israeli airstrikes on Iranian nuclear sites and subsequent US involvement in the conflict. Takht-Ravanchi emphasized that while negotiations were purportedly on the table, clarity from the US regarding its military intentions was critical for any potential return to dialogue.

Additionally, he addressed the ongoing concerns surrounding Iran's nuclear program, reiterating Iran’s right to enrich uranium for what it claims are peaceful purposes, rejecting allegations that it is moving towards developing nuclear weapons.
