Zelensky Calls for European Unity Amidst Uncertainty After Trump's Inauguration

At the World Economic Forum in Davos on Tuesday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky delivered a timely address, calling on European leaders to unite and bolster their resilience in light of the uncertain future of U.S. support. Speaking just a day after President Trump’s inauguration, Zelensky highlighted the crucial role Europe must play as global dynamics shift.

"Europe must shape history for itself and its allies,” Zelensky asserted, addressing a crowd of influential global leaders. He addressed the anxiety prevailing among nations gauging the implications of America's changing stance towards international alliances, particularly concerning its relationship with Ukraine amidst ongoing conflict with Russia.

Zelensky underscored that while America remains an "indispensable ally," European nations must realize they are not sheltered by an ocean from the threats posed by the Kremlin.
