Israel Reveals Hezbollah's Hidden Stronghold in Southern Lebanon
Israeli military forces took a group of international journalists on a revealing tour in southern Lebanon, through a breach in the border wall, to expose Hezbollah's clandestine military operations. This expedition aimed to showcase the hidden stronghold, where explosives and combat equipment were stockpiled. Located about 300 yards north of the Israeli border, the cache was part of a secret outpost capable of housing an explosives team responsible for breaches in the border's defenses. This was one of two sites verified by journalists following Israel's recent incursion into Lebanon, intended to weaken Hezbollah's military grip and nudge its forces northward. Military representatives expressed astonishment at the meticulous setup found so near the border, highlighting Hezbollah's preparedness for potential incursions into Israeli territory. The display included mines, an explosives chest marked in English and Russian, and various gear, underscoring the thoroughness of Hezbollah's military readiness. Israel's objective remains the reduction of Hezbollah's military potential while extending its stay and reach within Lebanon remains uncertain.
