Russian authorities announced on Wednesday the detention of a suspect in the assassination of Lt. Gen. Igor Kirillov, a high-ranking military leader, following a bomb explosion in Moscow. The detainee, a 29-year-old citizen of Uzbekistan whose identity remains undisclosed, was apprehended near a village outside the capital. According to a spokesperson for Russia’s prosecutor's office, the suspect confessed to being recruited by Ukrainian intelligence services to carry out the attack.
